A Secret Society History of Switzerland - An excerpt from The Hidden Hand of History - The Enemy Within

​

Around the year 1150, the Knights Templars began the first stages of International banking with their letters of credit system for Pilgrims travelling to the holy land. This worked very much along the same principle as the use of cheques in modern banking today. Very quickly this turned into usury with interest charged on any money lent, which allowed the Templars to become in effect, ‘the world’s first multinational corporation’.[1] The last of the Crusades took place in 1291, as the last remaining stronghold of the Templars in the Holy Land St. Jean d’Acre in northern Israel fell on the 18th May 1291. The Templars and the Order of St John of Jerusalem left the region returning to Europe after this. The timeline of the founding of Switzerland as a nation accurately reflects the time period required to travel from Israel to modern day Switzerland. Two and a half months is a reasonable time period travelling on horseback and on foot from modern day Israel to Switzerland, where on August 1st 1291 Confoederationis Helveticae, today known as Switzerland was founded by the Order of St John and the Templars.[2] All one has to do is look at the Swiss flag and you see the white cross on a red background which came from the Hospitallers, or Order of St John of Jerusalem. There are numerous credible arguments and counter arguments regarding the real reason why the Templars were suppressed, from the well-known story of their threat to the monarchies of Europe and the Temporal power of the Papacy from their advanced continental usury system, to refusing to hand over sacred relics from the remains of Jesus Christ to the Papacy. I do not wish to delve into these different possibilities as they are beyond the scope of this book. What is known as fact is after almost 200 years the Templars had developed ‘a massive economic infrastructure within Europe’,[3] possessing ‘no less than 16,000 Lordships’ across Europe, so the Templars were always intimately connected with the Royal Houses and were immensely powerful. In England their main centre was the Temple Church in the Temple Bar, in the City of London,[4] which I will come on to in a later chapter. Regardless of the reason given to the public, the pertinent fact to consider is the suppression of the Knights Templars by Prince Phillip le Bel of France on Friday 13 October, 1307, with almost the rest of Europe outlawing the Templars soon after.[5] This is where the tale of the unlucky Friday the 13th came from. Dr Sean Hross informs us that at this time, the Order of St John of Jerusalem (Teutonic Knights, Hospitallers) absorbed the Templars within their ranks who retreated into their new secure base surrounded by the Alps in Switzerland, a fertile land which was easily the most defendable terrain in central Europe.[6] It is also interesting to note that major power players in world politics at that time, the Kingdom of Genoa and Venice also experienced a spike in the membership of their ruling councils, quite likely absorbing many of the Templars. In Venice this led to ‘the creation of an oligarchic government dominated by a fixed hereditary caste’.[7] Genoa during the 12th and 13th centuries had a population of around 100,000 inhabitants, yet it ‘played a leading role in the commercial revolution’ happening in Europe, and had ‘a naval power dealing on equal terms with the greatest monarchies’.[8]

Over the following centuries Switzerland became the base for the Royal Genoese and Venetian banking houses, with the banking / aristocratic structure bound together under the Order of St John of Jerusalem, or today coming under the umbrella of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.[9] By the 17th century, Switzerland and Geneva in particular were ‘becoming banker to the world’. Over a period of about 140 years from the 1550’s onwards many dynastic families from France and Italy set up in Switzerland to join the ‘Geneva caste’.

Switzerland has essentially been neutral since its final expansion in 1515. It had its independence recognised across the power brokers of Europe at the Congress of Vienna in 1815, and it is worth thinking over the fact that ‘Switzerland has remained free of terror attacks and war for over 500 years’.[10] During the Napoleonic wars Switzerland was temporarily under French military occupation while being used as a base and battleground for attacking Austrian and Russian troops. Napoleon is estimated to be responsible for the deaths of around 3.5 million people, ‘yet Switzerland remained unscathed’. We see another example of Swiss intrigue in the mid-19th century where Switzerland was a safe haven for revolutionaries attempting to topple the Papacy and the Kings and Queens off their thrones. In 1853 Giuseppe Mazzini’s Masonic Carbonari revolutionaries who failed in their uprising against the Milan government fled to Switzerland as refugees and were protected.[11] Analysing the revolutionary movements and the Swiss connection from the French revolution right up to the Bolshevik revolution, former Harvard Professor James Billington asks the question:

‘Why did Switzerland, located in the heart of Europe and closely in touch with revolutionary movements throughout the continent, fail to bring forth a revolutionary tradition from its more recent revolution?...It provided shelter for active revolutionaries from Buonarroti in Geneva through Bakunin at Vevey to Lenin in Zurich. It attracted such a large proportion of Slavic revolutionary leaders that the anti-revolutionary Dostoevsky characterized the entire concept of revolution as the “Geneva idea”.[12]

 

Mazzini’s wider International masonic revolutionary movement fronted by Karl Marx had their own Masonic Temple near Geneva called Temple Unique, ‘a temple worthy of their cult’. To Edith Miller (Lady Queensborough) we are grateful for a rare insight into the higher workings of Freemasonry. She told in particular that the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry ‘runs its own Secret Service which cooperates with the national Secret Services of all countries thus serving the aims and purposes of Internationalism’. Central within this network and ‘of special importance’ was the Grand Lodge Alpina in Switzerland, which was ‘utilised as a kind of liaison body by the different rites and lodges of the several jurisdictions all over the world in their negotiations with each other’.[13] Prior to the Russian revolution of 1917 which led to the Third Communist International, ‘a majority of the membership of both the Menshevik and Bolshevik parties lived in Berne and Zurich, under protection’. Jules Humbert-Droz, a Swiss native was also the Secretary General of the Communist International (Comintern) during the 1920’s, whose stated goals were the abolition of the nation state so an International Soviet Republic, i.e. World Government could rule. After a later ‘phony, cosmetic split’ with Moscow, Humbert-Droz would go on to lead the ‘highly respectable Swiss Socialist Party’.[14] Is it so far-fetched to think that Switzerland could be the headquarters of a centuries long conspiracy against the free world? Writing in his almost encyclopaedic work, The New Underworld Order – The Triumph of Criminalism, Christopher Story, former ‘on occasion advisor’ to British PM Margaret Thatcher, said the following about the reason why Switzerland has been immune from attack. In 2006, he wrote:

 

‘In 1815, Jesuit agents and Freemasonic allies among the crowned heads of Europe agreed, at the Congress of Vienna which put an end to the geomasonic depredations of Napoleon (a Jesuit-Masonic operative), that the inviolable neutrality of Switzerland, which had been decreed by the Peace of Westphalia in 1648, would be guaranteed in perpetuity - so that, irrespective of what wars are provoked by the Illuminati in pursuit of their objectives, the funds belonging to the 'Black nobility' lodged in Switzerland, would always remain free from the threat of plunder. This of course is why Switzerland remains in existence. The secret bank accounts of 'Black Nobility' wealth-holders have been joined by their 'successors', the crime families which, especially in the United States, have stolen and created (through fiat money multiplication techniques using stolen collateral) billions, if not trillions, of dollars, and think that they are impregnable from prosecution for all time’.[15]

Former US President Bill Clinton’s mentor, former Georgetown University Professor Carroll Quigley wrote in Tragedy & Hope – A History of the World in Our Time that:

​

‘The powers of financial capitalism had another far reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the Central Banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences. The apex of the system was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basle, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world’s central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank sought to dominate its government by its ability to control treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world’.[16]

From World Bank whistle-blower Karen Hudes and her television series called the Network of Global Corporate Control we delve deeper. In reference to the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basle, we learn that it funds the worlds 60 central banks which ‘collectively make up 95% of the world’s GDP (gross domestic product)’. Hudes and her team lay the blame for the world’s financial collapses and manipulated boom-bust cycles with the BIS as being solely responsible ‘due to the fact that it alone has the power to create money. In other words, the BIS is responsible for creating and distributing the world’s fiat money supply which is in turn used to fund the world’s respective governments, intelligence agencies and militaries, as well as all the assassinations, terror attacks wars they engage in.’[17]
